How to Play

The Goal

Build a six-man NBA rotation from real team seasons. After your final pick, the game simulates an 82-game regular season.

Your perfect target is 82–0. Playoff success still affects your result tier, but it does not add to the main record.

How the Draft Works
  • Each roll gives you one real NBA team-season.
  • Choose one available player from that team.
  • After you pick a player, choose one open slot they are eligible to fill.
  • If the shot clock expires, the game automatically drafts an eligible player for you.
  • Use the reroll challenge to reject the current team and get a new roll.
Your 6 roster slots
PG SG SF PF C 6TH

You need a point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, center, and sixth man. Players can be eligible at multiple spots, so check the position tags before you pass on someone.

The starting five drive most of the simulation. The sixth man is flexible and should be your best remaining all-around player, not just a leftover. If 6TH is open, the swap icon lets you draft into a filled starter spot and move that starter to the bench when eligible.

Scoring & Simulation

Your final rotation is graded into seven basketball categories. The team score maps to an 82-game regular-season record, and the playoff tier is based on how complete that roster is.

Shot Creation20%
Scoring Punch20%
Defense18%
Spacing13%
Rebounding10%
Bench10%
Rim Pressure9%

Balance matters. Any category that falls too low creates a penalty, so one weak spot can drag down an otherwise loaded team. Awards and elite overall seasons can add a small bonus, but they do not cover a broken roster.

What to Draft For
  • PG Prioritize AST and efficient scoring. Your PG is the main engine for Shot Creation and also helps Spacing.
  • SG Prioritize PTS and 3P%. SG carries a huge share of Scoring Punch and Spacing.
  • SF Look for two-way wings: PTS, REB, AST, STL, and 3P%. SF touches scoring, spacing, defense, and rebounding.
  • PF Prioritize REB, BLK, defense, and enough scoring. PF is a major piece for defense, rebounding, and rim pressure.
  • C Prioritize REB, BLK, FG%, and defense. Center is the biggest driver of Rebounding and Rim Pressure.
  • 6TH Use this for the best overall eligible player. A great sixth man is worth 10% of the final score by himself.
Draft Strategy
  • Early picks should fill hard-to-replace roles: elite PG creation, elite wing scoring, or a dominant defensive big.
  • Do not ignore shooting. A great scorer with weak spacing can still leave your team short of 82–0.
  • Bigs matter. PF and C carry most of rebounding and rim protection, so weak frontcourt picks are expensive.
  • Use multi-position players to stay flexible. A SG who can play PG or a forward who can slide between SF and PF can save a draft.
  • In Prison Rules, lean on season, team quality, awards, and basketball memory because the stat boxes are hidden until after the pick.
Game Modes
  • Classic shows player stats before you draft.
  • Prison Rules hides stats until after the pick. Draft by name, season, team, and instinct.
