Welcome to Hockey Draft

Roll a real NHL team-season, draft one player, and build an 11-player lineup across two forward lines, two defense pairs, and a goalie. Then see how close your team gets to a perfect 98–0.

Daily ChallengeThe same rolls for everyone, with three attempts each day.
Rink RatHard mode hides stats and awards. Draft from hockey knowledge.

How to Play

Build the perfect hockey lineup.

The Goal

Build an 11-player hockey roster from real team-seasons. When your lineup is full, the game grades it and simulates an 82-game regular season plus 16 playoff wins.

The perfect target is 98–0: 82–0 in the regular season and 16–0 in the playoffs.

How the Draft Works
  • Each roll gives you one team-season. Choose one available player from that roster.
  • Tap a player, then place them into an eligible open slot on the rink.
  • When an eligible opposite-line slot is open, a filled player marked can be selected to swap that player between the starting lineup and bench. Matching positions are used first.
  • The next team rolls after every pick. Teams that cannot fill any open slot are skipped automatically.
  • Classic and Rink Rat each give you one re-roll for the entire draft. Daily has no re-rolls.

Your first forward line and first defense pair carry much more weight than the second unit. Put your best scorers and defenders in the top-line slots.

Scoring & Strategy

Your roster is graded in four categories:

Forward Scoring30%
Goaltending30%
Defense28%
Center Playmaking12%
  • Elite goaltending is as valuable as your entire scoring attack.
  • Your first line supplies 72% of forward scoring, and C1 supplies 72% of center playmaking.
  • Your first defense pair supplies 70% of the defense grade.
  • Stay balanced. A famous roster with a weak net or blue line will fall short of a perfect run.
Game Modes
  • Classic: Player ratings and stats are visible before every pick. Each pick has a 30-second Penalty Clock.
  • Daily Challenge: Everyone receives the same rolls, with player stats and award badges visible. You get three attempts per day, and each completed attempt can be recorded on the Daily leaderboard with its attempt number. Each pick has a 30-second Penalty Clock and there are no re-rolls. If the clock expires, the game randomly drafts an available player into one eligible open spot.
  • Rink Rat: This is Hockey's hard mode. Stats and award badges are hidden, so you draft by player, season, and hockey knowledge. Each pick has a 30-second Penalty Clock. Submit your completed result to the dedicated Rink Rat leaderboard.
